#ThankfulThursday feature: Thank you, Taleeyah!
At the Brant Community Healthcare System (BCHS) Foundation, we are fortunate to experience the generosity of grateful families who feel the need to give back after receiving exemplary care at the Brantford General or The Willett, Paris. We are extremely thankful when families consider donating to help the BCHS Foundation to improve local healthcare for the families of Brantford, Brant and the surrounding community.
But occasionally, a special event like this occurs that reminds us all why we do what we do each and every day at the BCHS and the BCHS Foundation…
On May 30, Karen Calbeck, our office administrator, emptied the Brant Community Healthcare System (BCHS) Foundation mailbox, like she does every day. Inside, she discovered this little gem:
This is an anonymous donation from a six-year-old visitor to the hospital named Taleeyah, who took it upon herself to donate a quarter to the BCHS Foundation to help others.
So, thank you Taleeyah for your meaningful donation and philanthropic spirit. You have a heart of gold.
Just as you asked, your 25-cent donation will be used to help families that visit our hospital and Urgent Care facility by helping to purchase patient equipment for the Brant Community Healthcare System.
