The BCHS Foundation’s Inaugural Bed Races
Coming May 23, 2026!
The BCHS Foundation is excited to present a new and exciting event – Hospital Bed Races, presented by Sleep N’ Comfort. Teams of four will showcase their speed, spirit and determination, dressing in their best costumes/themes and business swag while pushing a hospital bed with a sandbag in 50-metre sprints.
Participants are encouraged to collect pledges, as the funds from this event directly support local healthcare. All funds raised from the Hospital Bed Races will purchase patient beds at the Brant Community Healthcare System.
When: Saturday May 23, 2026
Where: Brantford location to be announced
Entry Fee: The minimum amount for a team to race is $500. Teams are encouraged to rally support by directing family, friends, and coworkers to the event’s fundraising page (coming soon).
Who Can Participate? Everyone! We encourage a wide variety of participants, including hospital staff, local companies, and members of the public.
Format: Teams consists of four participants, pushing a sandbag-weighted bed. Each team will participate in two qualifying races, followed by thrilling final races for the fastest teams.
Prizes: There will be several categories for teams to win prizes including Top Fundraiser, Fastest Beds, and Best Costumes/Theme.
