Our 4th annual Read4BCHS event kicked off its final week by celebrating Family Day with a series of pop-up reading events!

Thank you to the Alexander Graham Bell Homestead for having us out to read on Family Day morning. It was cool to learn all about inventions- especially the telephone! And thank you to Ms. Christie, grade 5 teacher at St. Gabriel’s school, for reading! We then had a great time at Syl Apps Community Centre visiting Kinderplay! And we were joined by a very special guest – The Very Hungry Caterpillar! Dr. Lee Ferrao of Clarence Street Dental Group read for us, and is also a proud Read4BCHS sponsor. Thanks to the whole Ferrao Family for coming out! What a great story.

The last stop on our Family Day Read4BCHS pop up storytelling tour was at Brantford’s Harmony Square. We enjoyed a reading of the Dr. Seuss classic “The Lorax ” along with a very special guest! Thank you to BCHS Foundation Board Chair and local educator Heather Wilson for reading such a timeless story.
