Read4BCHS inspires a love of reading for all ages while raising much needed funds for pediatric care at the Brant Community Healthcare System.
Everyone is welcome to participate! Here’s how:

1. Register: To register for  Read4BCHS, submit your team name and/or individual name to Haidee Scheers at Haidee.scheers@bchsys.org. Once you have provided your profile name, you will be provided with a five digit code to create your profile on the Read for my School website and/or app   (watch an instructional registration video here)
   *If you are participating as a team, school class, day program, daycare or sports team, your Team Captain (teacher, leader, coach, etc.) will provide you with your team’s name and five-digit code*
2. Raise: Collect donations! Tell everyone that you’re reading to raise awareness and funds for pediatric care at the BCHS. Have your friends and family make a donation – share your custom donation URL or be sure to tell them what individual or team to donate to. Please ensure you provide your mailing address within the notes section when providing a donation, the mailing address will be utilized for your charitable receipt. All information included within the notes section is private and confidential and only accessible to the BCHS Foundation. Donors will receive a charitable tax receipt following the conclusion of Read4BCHS from the BCHS Foundation office. Every dollar makes a meaningful difference for young patients and their families within the community.
3. Read: Track your reading progress on your dashboard located on ‘Readformyschool’ to unlock badges associated with fundraising and reading. As you read and accomplish your goals, the BCHS Foundation will monitor your progress for a chance to win weekly surprise prize draws! Check out the leaderboards to view your reading and fundraising rankings.
4.  Rewards: On a weekly basis, reading raisers and Read4BCHS participants will have the opportunity to be entered into a weekly draw as reading/raising goals are met and accomplished. For every 60 minutes read a ballot will be entered on your behalf for a Read4BCHS Surprise Gift basket. Alongside weekly prize draws, there are amazing grand prizes to be won for the top fundraisers and reading champion!
