This week’s Thankful Thursday features:

‘The Difference’ makes a difference by supporting BCHS Paediatric Department

Thank you so much to all of the members of The Difference for their donation of 100 multi-generational busy bags and 50 boxes of band-aids for the patients and families visiting the BCHS Paediatric Department on Feb. 24.

The Difference is a local family-run group of charitable individuals whose goal is to teach the benefits of community giving and encourage volunteerism.

“This is the first year of busy bag donations will hopefully be an annual event at the BCHS Foundation,” said club President Steve ‘Striker’ Bahry. “We all feel that it’s critical to support the hospital and teach the next generation the importance of giving back to the community.

“All of the members of The Difference wear a Celtic knot patch on our jackets to show our family-focus,” said Steve’s wife, Correna ‘Phoenix’ Bahry. “The reflective design symbolizes togetherness and family unity.”

Currently, the club has 30 members ranging in age from three to 49 but has big plans to grow their group and add more members throughout the coming year.

If you are interested in giving back and joining The Difference, please contact stevebahry@gmail.com, telephone 519-802-1419, or visit their Facebook Group page online.

The BCHS Foundation is truly thankful to The Difference for their generosity and we recognize them as our Thankful Thursday celebration recipient for the week of March 7, 2019.
